Latin America is now perfectly positioned to be part of the solution for the world’s biggest challenges, including climate change, food insecurity, and biodiversity preservation.
These are daunting challenges and a priority for the region to address.īut what’s less apparent is that the region is starting to develop in areas that are critical to the entire planet’s future. Indeed, Latin America has long posted one of the world’s lowest economic growth and one of its highest income inequality rates. If there were ever a cliché about Latin America, it’s that the region is a continent of “ lost decades” and “ missed opportunities.”
